Prophetic Dance

Mission: To encourage, strengthen and Bring hope through the gift of Dance.
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
Psalm 149:3
Nike started dancing when she was a child. Taking dance classes in Middle School helped enhance her passion. Having experienced Tap, Modern, African, and Jazz dance, Nike continually searched to find an acceptable dance that she could worship God with.
Many years later as an adult Nike stepped out on faith and helped choreograph her 1st praise dance along with a partner and performed, Now behold the Lamb, by Kirk Franklin. After this performance was well received by both young and old, Nike continued to receive invites to come minister through dance. Nike’s performance brings a message that many people may not receive by the common method of communication of simple words. Nike’s desire is that her gift of dancing will bring healing, encouragement, strength, and comfort! Nike has ministered through dance to many diverse audiences: Church programs, concerts, musicals, funerals, Graduation ceremonies, Colleges, Going away parties, Tea’s, Luncheons, Seminars, Workshops, and more.
Nike uses the following Scriptures to encourage and under-gird her dance ministry:
And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. Exodus 15:20
King David himself danced before the Lord, when he brought the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem.
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. II Samuel 6:14David also refers to dance as a form of worship in some of the Psalms he wrote. For example:
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3
Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Psalm 150:4
